Search Engines on Economics

Economics Departments, Institutes and Research Centers in the World (EDIRC). There are now an amazing number of economics institutions on the WWW. This is an attempt by Christian Zimmermann (Center for Research on Economic Fluctuations and Employment - CREFE at University of Quebec at Montreal) to index them.

Bill Goffe's Resources for Economists (RFE) on the Internet. A comprehensive site that includes instructions on how best to utilise the resources it offers.

World Wide Web Resources in Economics (WebEc). This is an excellent site for any research need, a great effort to categorize free information in economics on the WWW.

Economists with Web Pages - an alphabetical directory of economists also containing their academic affiliation.

American Economists Association - a good search engine to look for a specific economist who is a member of this association.

International Directory of Finance and Economics Professionals - a good search engine providing one knows at least a part of someone's name, yet still does not guarantee a match.

Directory of International Economists - an alphabetical listing of economists with their e-mail addresses. Some names show academic affiliation.

Economists on the World Wide Web - directory of 401 economists on the Internet.
