“International experience in the field of harmonization of legal systems and common practices and commonly used instruments”
Based on request APR -102-040629-0025 from the Administration of the President of the RF.
RECEP experts have concentrated on analyzing different approaches to the approximation of different legal systems.
The efforts were concentrated on the opportunities for legal approximation between Russian and European Union. This included careful analysis of the legal harmonization in Europe (EU, EFTA, EU and Switzerland agreements) and summarizing problems and benefits of this process and providing recommendations for Russia including possibilities in further harmonization in important fields such as customs and company laws.
The project resulted in large number of analytical reports and international level workshop during which the results and finding of the project were discussed. During the workshop the participants also discussed main priorities for the future work of the RECEP team. It is also planned to create a book that would summarize all findings and become all-encompassing and comprehensive scientific paper.
