Visit of RECEP delegation to Khanty-Mansissk Okrug

A delegation of RECEP composed of Team leader J.P. Blandinieres and senior experts Y.A. Fontanov and A.A. Khoudokormoff visited Ugra, the capital of the Khanty-Mansissk Okrug in Western Siberia, from 1 st till 2 nd of June 2005. The purpose of the visit was to participate in the “Fourth Interregional Conference on IT and solutions for E-Russia” and discuss with the local administration concrete areas of cooperation.

The conference, opened by Y.A. Filipenko, Governor of Khanty Mansyisk Okrug, was attended by delegates from the Federal Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Security Council of the RF Presidential Administration, regional and municipal administrations, main educational and scientific Russian Institutions, UNESCO, delegates from the Republic of Belarus and from private companies.

At the plenary session of the “Fourth Interregional Conference on IT and solutions for Electronic Russia” Mr. Blandinieres spoke about “RECEP’s activities concerning support to socio-economic reforms and new technologies development in the Russian Federation”.

During the visit RECEP delegation was received by Mr. Filipenko, Governor of the Khanty-Mansyisk Okrug, and separately by Mr. Krivikh, vice-Governor.

As a result of the held discussions Protocol concerning the future cooperation between the Khanty-Mansyisk Okrug and RECEP has been signed.

The delegation also had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Volostrigov, Member of the Council of Federation, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Constitutional Legislation.

RECEP delegates also visited the Exhibition on IT Technologies in the 21 st century. Mr. Blandinieres participated at a press conference dedicated to the conference and the exhibition, during which he answered questions from the local press.
