A group of Russian government officials (A. Blokhin, assistant to Deputy Prime Minister A. Zhukov, Office of the Prime Minister; O. Savelyev, Assistant to G. Gref, Minister of Economy and Trade; Ye. Fastova, Finance Department Director, Ministry of Agriculture) paid an information visit to the Ministry of Finance, Economy and Industries of the French Republic on November 15-18, 2004 . The purpose of the visit was to study the development of the budget reform in France intended to reorient the budget expenditures to achieving specific goals of social and economic development. 22 Nov 2004 RECEP participating in the Conference “ Russia ’s European Choice?” (Press release, November 12–13th , 2004)
On November 12–13th , 2004 , the Conference “ Russia ’s European Choice?” took place at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs in Helsinki. The conference explored the current state, and future of EU-Russian relations. Following a formal request made by the State Duma’s Economic Policy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism Committee, to the Russian-European Centre for Economic Policy (RECEP), on the 27th of October 2004 RECEP held a meeting to discuss the draft law on concessions which was submitted for consideration to the Russian State Duma.
