The mission of the group is to carry out research and elaborate analytical materials in line with the requests of beneficiaries on the issues of preparation and implementation of socio-economic reforms with the emphasis laid on development of recommendations for pursuance of the policy based on the outcomes of the modern economic theory and analysis of present day practice of the EU countries.
For the time being the majority of requests answered by the group of socio-economic reforms are connected with the preparation of analytical materials in the field of budget reform that has been carried out in Russia since spring 2004. Besides, members of the groups assist other RECEP expert groups in elaboration of economic blocks of analytical materials in the field of “Competitiveness”, “Public Administration” and “Legal Analysis”.
