Annual conference "Corporate governance and investment climate in Russia : events, opinions of investors"

On February 18, 2005 an annual conference “Corporate governance and investment climate in Russia : events, opinions of investors” will be held in the premises of London Stock Exchange. Sponsors of the conference are the Expert magazine, the National Council for Corporate Governance in association with the London Stock Exchange, “PricewaterhouseCoopers”, “Alfa-Bank”, and International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN).

Program of the conference:

  • Alistair Ross Goobey , Chairman of the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN) on the world trends in Corporate Governance;
  • Michael Kuben , Managing Partner of Russian branch of “PricewaterhouseCoopers” on the results of research in the field of corporate governance in Russia;
  • Andrey Shmarov , Director of Expert magazine on the results of interviews taken with western businessmen on the changes in Russian investment climate;
  • Tracy Pears , Director of International Business Department of the London Stock Exchange on the requirements of stock exchanges for companies conducting initial public offering (IPO) in London ;
  • Roderic Lyne , Adviser of BP and HSBC, former British Ambassador to Russia ;
  • Oleg Vyugin , Head of the Federal Service for Financial Markets on the views of the Russian regulating authority on the issue of Russian public companies’ standards;

  2. Presentation-seminar of the London Stock Exchange for Russian companies on the issues:

What is AIM (Alternative Investment Market)? – A trading floor for middle size companies. The requirements companies are to comply with in order to realize Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the Alternative Investment Market (AIM). The seminar will be presided over by G. Edwards, Manager of the London Stock Exchange.

The conference will be held on February 18, 2005 in the conference hall of the London Sock Exchange (LSE Theatre, 10 Paternoster Square , London ).
